Week 14: Friends Build Each Other Up
“You can do this!”
“I believe in you!”
“Great Job!”
Everyone likes a pat on the back from important people in their life. As we boost our children’s self-confidence through uplifting words and actions, they will experience the power that comes from feeling supported. We can then help them to see that other kids like to hear kind words as well. Part of being a good friend is encouraging others.
This week the Puppet Pals learn the difference between building others up through encouragement and tearing them down with discouraging messages. They discover that friends talk nicely to and about others. When they focus on what their friends do well instead of pointing out their flaws and mistakes, it has a huge impact on building strong friendships.
