Fostering “Social-Emotional Learning” Skills in Young Learners
A Little SEL provides daily videos that teachers can show their young students to teach social and emotional learning (SEL) skills. Children can make connections to relatable scenarios that the familiar characters experience, acting as a springboard for rich classroom conversations.
These engaging lessons are built around CASEL’s five social and emotional competencies (Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making): with puppet shows, songs, and games reinforcing the target skill of the week.

I love the content that the Puppet Pals have created. Not only are the videos fun and entertaining to watch, but they have so many great morals and lessons for young kids that are so valuable. Being a homeschool Mom, it has helped us find some entertainment that is educational and also has brought meaning into their lives in a way they can relate to, understand, and also enjoy.
A LITTLE SEL – Free Summer Lessons!
As we move into the summer, families often have different daily rhythms than during the school year. Adapting to these changes can be an adjustment and we at A Little SEL want to support you and your children throughout the summer months. Each week we will post a new lesson for free so that you and your child can join the Puppet Pals as they have fun learning about themselves and others. Weekly lessons will include a Puppet Pal video and a project to reinforce the target skill.
