Week 21: I Like Myself:
“It’s great to be me.”
We would love our kids to say those words with confidence.
When children have positive self-esteem, they feel capable and proud, even if they make mistakes. Their value is rooted in their uniqueness, not just based on their accomplishments. They feel special just the way they are, without comparing themselves to others. When we help our kids develop a strong sense of self, it will help them make wise decisions when faced with peer pressure.
This week the Puppet Pals learn to enjoy playing by themselves and discover that they can like things that are different from others. They realize that they are special just the way they are and that they each have unique interests and talents that can help their family, friends, and neighbors.
