JUST THINK IF EVERYONE DID THAT
- Waiting for your turn.
- Cleaning up after yourself.
- Making space for someone else to sit down.
- Using an appropriate voice level when others are working.
These are simple ways to be mindful of others. Young children learn big concepts like being considerate in context. We can teach our children to make caring decisions by pointing out how their actions impact others.
This week your children can view the Puppet Kids in various scenarios, where they innocently make some thoughtless decisions. After throwing some litter on the ground, cutting to the front of the line, or interrupting, they are asked, “What would happen if everyone did that?” As your children watch the videos they can think of ways to consider others in countless little interactions each day, making our world a kinder, friendlier place.
This week of lessons includes four scenario videos you can watch with your students Monday through Thursday with follow-up questions for class discussions. Your kids won’t want to miss singing along with the music video for Friday, “Just Think If Everyone Did That?“, reinforcing the target skill of the week.
This week also includes a Simple Summary video in both English and Spanish. These are geared toward PreK students or those who are developing simple language skills while focusing on the target social-emotional skill of the week.
